City Accountant Paciencia SJ Tabinas and City Treasurer Rodrigo C. Belleza and their respective staff at city hall were cited by the Commission on Audit last February 17, this year, for their satisfactory performance in service.

The COA’s cluster III-Local Government Sector, sub-cluster 3 (Southern Luzon) said the accounting office made their invaluable contributions to the agency’s resolute commitment to provide accurate, complete, reliable, relevant, and timely information on the financial affairs of the city government.

The treasury was commended for its committed collaboration with the accounting office which resulted in the substantial adherence to the standards of the new government accounting system (NGAS) and prompt rendition of complete treasury reports.

This teamwork between the treasury and accounting offices, according to COA, was manifested in their submission of prompt, complete, and verifiable financial statements for the year 2003.

Plaques of appreciation were given to both offices by Director Juanita C. Alarcon, Regional Cluster Director and Cluster Director Joseph B. Anacay.
