Nagueño FilAm couple here for visit
SERAFIN Sabocor and his wife Zenaida, the latter the president of
the Los Angeles-based Naga City USA will be in their hometown
Wednesday until Thursday (July 20-21), next week for a quick visit
and personal meeting with Naga City Mayor Jesse M. Robredo.
Husband Serafin himself was past president of the Naga City USA,
an association of Nagueños based in USA.
The Naga City USA has been jointly undertaking projects with the
Naga City Government, including relief operations, through
contributions and fund donations from its US-based members.
The couple will visit some of these completed projects which
included the Naga City Science High School administration
building, the Naga City Hall Welcome Arch, and the Naga City Eco
Park in Pacol, Naga City, which is being managed and operated by
the Isarog Garden Society.
They will also drop by the Naga campus of the Camarines Sur
Polytechnic Colleges (the former BCAT) to meet with their scholars
there and the school graduates, along the school officials.
In the evening of their first day, the couple will be tendering a
dinner with the city mayor and other city officials. The Naga City
Visitors Center will provide the special guests with a guided tour
on the next day.
The Naga City USA’s local liaison here is Dr. Ronnie Ursua whose
father, the late Dr. Ramon, was the association’s president from
1993 to 1995.
