Call for Submissions to Literary Folio

Oragonrepublic.com, premier Bicolano website, is accepting submissions for its first anniversary print literary folio.

Manuscripts (poems or prose - fiction or non-fiction and written in any of the Bicol languages), should be sent to oragonrepublicfolio1 @atenista. net. The deadline, earlier set on July 30, has been moved to August 10, 2005 to accommodate more entries.

Poems previously published in OragonRepublic.com will also be considered for publication.

The literary folio will be distributed for free in hotels, schools, libraries and other strategic locations during the Peñafrancia festivities as part of the website's commitment to promote Bicol culture.

Submissions must include a bio-note (brief background info on the author).

OragonRepublic.com is a non-profit community website and portal for Bicolnons and anyone who feels an affinity for the place and its people. Broadly, it aims to promote Bicol culture, advocate for development, and serve as a forum for a free exchange of ideas and as a venue through which its users can maintain ties with their roots even if they are no longer in their native land.
