Atty. Carlos Matos of Bolivia in Spanish (center) the Mass was
held at the Minoriten Church at Kolpinglatz, Cologne, Germany
where the remains of the founder of the International Kolping
Society operating in 68 countries, in four continents is buried.
The Mass was attended by delegates from 33 countries worldwide.

HOME FOR THREE HORNBILLS - A male and two female hornbill
fledglings, locally called “tariktik”, a specie indigenous to the
Philippines, were turned over by the Avian Society of Camarines
Sur to the aviculture section of the provincial agriculture office
which spearheads the wildlife protection and conservation drive
initiated by Governor LRay Villafuerte, based at the Eco Village
of the Provincial Capitol complex where giant aviaries have been
built to house various species of birds, many of them endangered
or threatened species. The hornbills were turned over last
Tuesday, July 19, received in behalf of the governor by provincial
aviculturist Menandro Benavides, Jr., (left, right photo), who
also heads the local avian group represented during the occasion

TIANGGE
sa DLR. The Department of Land Reform held a tiangge at its
Provincial Office at Pili, Camarines Sur last June 27-29, 2005 as
part of the 17th CARP Anniversary celebration. For sale were a
plethora of fresh organic vegetables, hito, poultry products,
honey, muscovado, virgin coconut oil, and other farm products
produced by different farmer-beneficiaries of the Land Reform
Program in the province. Also for sale were ornamental plants,
