Industries Adjudged
Outstanding SME

La Mode Industries was adjudged as one of the sixteen (16)
Outstanding Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in this year’s
celebration of the SME Development Week. The award gives
recognition to SMEs from across the country that achieved
significant growth and improvement in business performance with
the assistance of SME Development initiatives of the Department of
Trade and Industry (DTI) together with various agencies.
La Mode Industries has also graduated this year from micro to
small enterprise meaning the company supposed the Three Million
Pesos (P3M) capitalization and generated two hundred fifty (250)
jobs in Calabanga alone.
La Mode Industries has received its plaque of recognition from DTI
Secretary Peter Favila during the Awarding Ceremonies at the 2005
SME Development Week held last July 20, 2005 at SM Megamall, Metro
Manila. The activity was in time for the SME Exposition held on
July 20-24, 2005 at same place, and the National SME Development
Week celebrated last July 18-24, 2005. Afterwards the awardees
were ushered to Malacañang Palace for an exclusive audience with
Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
La Mode Industries, as part of its winnings, also received one
free booth at the 2006 SME Exposition, one time participation to
DTI-organized regional or national trade fair, free training
courses at Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) and free
product development consultations with the Product Design and
Development Center of the Philippines (PDDCP) plus an all expense
paid trip during the awarding.
La Mode Industries is owned and being managed by Mrs. Aurora
Azañes Rico. The company ventures into manufacturing and exporting
of ladies bag, pouches, bread trays, hampers and other gifts and
houseware products. Its present markets include the countries of
France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Japan, Korea, Turkey and Belgium.
