SPIRIT OF ’72. The Manila Chapter of Ateneo-CSI HS 72 recently held a family day at the spring resort owned by one of their batchmates who has settled in San Pablo City, Laguna. Shown in photo (standing l-r) are: Francis Felipe, Mendotte (nee Cledera), Eurose (nee Rosales), Freddie Morales, Bess (nee Cecilio), Lester Lim, Manny Guballa, Vangie and Veo Prado. Seated (l-r): June Ragragio, Amor (nee Monasterio, owner of Sitio Amor Resort, San Pablo City), Senen Torralba, Edbert and Sally Albarico with son Huey. The joint class has formed an e-group that keeps the Ateneans/Isabelinas from around the the globe only a click away. A grand reunion in Naga City is being mulled at an opportune date.

COMPAÑERA MADE TO BE. While Atty. Daisy Punzalan Bragais (standing) cannot stop expressing gratitude to everybody during her thanksgiving celebration as she passed the Bar and become one of the rosters of law practitioners, the spouse, Atty. Jun-Jun Bragais cannot help but wipe his uncontrolled “tears of joy” teary-eyes. Yet, t’was not a hard thought for the families of both Atty. Braggy and Atty. Daisy, because everyone who really knew them well has this to say: passing exams, be it Board or Bar, runs in the families!!

A thanksgiving mass was offered by the Punzalan-Bragais family at the Basilica Minore followed by a reception at the IBP Bldg. last May 22. (left photo) from left, Judge Rosario Torrecampo, Judge Fely Bragais (who fortunately happens to be Daisy’s Mom-in-Law) and BM’s Law 101 columnist and Daisy’s partner in life, Atty. Perfecto “Jun-Jun” Bragais. (right photo) Compañera Daisy points to introduce all the people who supported her while all the close relatives and family members listen on deeply.

ROCK WINDOW. Locally known as “Bintanang Gapo”, this natural sculpture at the Caramoan Peninsula, Camarines Sur beckons as a window to the soothing white sands and calm beaches as enjoyed here by a family on a day’s picnic and frolick in the sun. With Gov. LRay Villafuerte at the helm of the provincial government, an intensified marketing and promotional drive has gripped the province with the airing of the “Come South, Cam. Sur” MTV that has caught the fancy of the most travel aficionados. JTS/MULTIMEDIA EDUCATION CENTER

EYE OF THE SEA - A local fisherman with his young sons take a lull from the day’s fishing task to enjoy the natural harbor of the magnificently sculpted rock formation by the sea located at Bgy. San Vicente, Caramoan, Camarines Sur. Gov. L-Ray Villafuerte is bent on packaging attractive eco-tourism investments portfolio in order to create and promote a niche market for Caramoan as an alternative tourist trap for the adventurous local and foreign tourist. WHAT REMAINS OF THE ROCK MOUNTAIN. Piles of Andesite flatstones excavated from the quarry operations in the exploited Mount Tambo of Buhi town as the Task Force Kalikasan in coordination with the DENR put to stop the illegal operations and the emerging danger to the nearby local communities. Photo shows the Andesite slabs becoming useless as it remain untouched and worthless... What is to be done, then?
