L-Ray marks birthday with
medical & dental mission
Four
Thousand Three Hundred Seventy Eight school packs will be given
away to the same number of elementary school children during the
medical and dental missions scheduled and organized on June 1-2,
2005 in pre-selected 8 remote barangays in 7 municipalities in
Camarines Sur in celebration of Governor LRay Villafuerte’s
birthday.
The distribution of the school packs along with the medical and
dental missions will be at barangays Tamban (1,290 school packs)
and Bagacay (701), Tinambac; barangay Sabang (715), Calabanga;
barangay San Antonio (359), Bombon; and barangay Talidtid (81),
Canaman on June 1 while scheduled for June 2 are barangays San
Jose (414), Milaor; Baliuag Viejo (458), Minalabac; and Loho
(360), Lagonoy.
Contents of the school packs include: 1 school bag, 8 pcs.
notebooks, 1 pair slippers, 1 small ball, 1 box crayola, pencil,
ballpen, 1 set P.E. uniform (T-shirt & shorts), and pad paper.
Said school packs will benefit pupils from Grades 1-6 and were
solicited in coordination with UNICEF, an international agency
that recognized and had been supportive of the programs and
thrusts of the Camarines Sur provincial government.
Gov. Villafuerte will personally be at the appointed venues to
hand over distributing said packs to recipients.
Meanwhile, a simple gathering and celebration at 3:00 PM on June 2
at the activity area located near the Convention Center is being
organized for the different barangay officials and other community
leaders of the province where the governor will have the chance to
mingle and confer with his grassroots leaders on his special day.
