Congressman Luis R. Villafuerte has urged in his keynote address to the 2nd National Agroforestry Congress that denuded public lands be made available to private investors for agroforestry projects to relieve the government of the huge financial burden of reforesting them. His message was delivered by Dominador C. Alarkon, Jr., (seated, second from right), his chief information officer while he was governor of Camarines Sur for 15 years. Also in photo (from left, seated) are CSSAC president Dr. Wilfredo G. Olaño of the host school, Vice Governor Salvio B. Fortuno and Dr. Virgilio Villancio of the UPLB Philippine Agroforestry and Research Network, convention chair.

This has led to apprehension of violators on the road for which Ayo’s group received commendations for their services even beyond the call of duty.
