STO. DOMINGO, Albay – Score of displaced families living near Mount Mayon have benefited from the relief goods and used clothing donated by the Kabalikat operatives from Metro Manila.
Led by Kabalikat Civicom founder and National President Gil de la Torre of Kabalikat NCR, busload of foodstuffs, canned goods, rice, and used clothing were delivered last Saturday, August 5, by Kabalikat personnel coming from Sta. Maria (Bulacan), Muntinlupa, Kalookan, Quezon City, Bacoor (Cavite), Sto. Tomas and Tanauan (Batangas).
The group was assisted by their local counterparts in Bicol Regions headed by Kabalikat Governor for Bicol Rodrigo Vicaldo. He was joined in by Kabalikat Naga Central headed by Nathan Sergio and Kabalikat volunteers based in Sipocot, Pili and Rinconada.
Kabalikat 349 of Albay and Legazpi City escorted the group towards this municipality where the relief goods were turned over and received by Sto. Domingo Kabalikat.
Only last July 1, this year, Kabalikat 645 of Naga City joined other kabalikat chapters in Metro Manila and other provinces in sending relief goods to the victims of Mt. Bulusan eruption in Sorsogon province. J. Neola
