RIZAL
SHRINE DESECRATED. Hawkers
and vendors keep Dr. Jose Rizal y Mercado company at the National
Hero Shrine located at Rizal Park, Naga City. The Pizal Park is
being administered by the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur
which has the perfunctory habit of leasing it as business stalls.
A Provincial Board resolution approved last January 17 maintained
that it is the Provincial Government’s “social service program of
renting out spaces to small-scale entrepreneurs to help them in
their livelihood.”
BREAKTHROUGH
IN NUTRITION PROGRAM.
Since its implementation in 60 barangays covering 20
municipalities of the province of Camarines Sur July last year,

in addressing malnutrition in children six years old and below.
Assessment and evaluation made of the program as of November 2005
showed that already 60 % of the 3,538 target beneficiaries showed
great improvement in their weight due to regular feeding and
vitamin supplementation.
