Kolping cheers Bulusan victims

SORSOGON CITY – More than 102 families benefited from the relief goods extended by Kolping Society of the Philippines, Inc. (KSPI) to Mt. Bulusan victims last July 4, 2006.

The relief goods consisted of canned products and health/sanitation packs which Mayor Edwin B. Hamor of Casiguran town described as very important for the immediate recovery of residents, mostly children, from the trauma that Mt. Bulusan has brought them.

Other than the packed goods, the indigent locals witnessed and participated in festive activities like holding of parlor games. More than a hundred children also enjoyed the feeding given by Kolping Youth of WRI Sorsogon who facilitated the half-day activity.

The merriment provided by the Kolping’s “Kaogmahan para sa Kaakian Hale sa Kolping” was lauded by Casiguran town officials especially by Mayor Hamor who said: “The Kolping endeavor has substantially provided the constituency of their needs. The act truly depicts unity especially during the times of hardships and survival which is worthy of emulation”.

The Casiguran local officials wholeheartedly expressed their gratitude to Kolping Society of the Philippines through its Kolping Youth whose membership were mostly dominated by students of WRI Computer College in Sorsogon. Mr. E Daniel A. De Leon is the national president of KSPI.
