One of the guests of honor is Ramon B. Santos, the Chief Operating Officer of Global Professional Records Exchange (GPRX), a prestigious call center based in Makati City and Perris, California, USA. Mat M. Maderazo, the Vice president of Planters Products and IT consultant was also around.

Among other things, we discussed the growth and prospects of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), the Call Center Industry in the Philippines and its relative competitive advantage in the world market. Mr. Santos emphasized the varied opportunities for small players like Innovative Contact Solutions and its distinct competitiveness viz a viz the big players in the market. Specifically he wished the Philippine Government to put its acts together and provide the solid support to the call center entrepreneurs just like in India and Pakistan.

Jeremy L. Lo said that other than the efficient and superb IT infrastructure, an equally important factor is an effective recruitment of trainable and talented workforce. Jeremy added that they can expand their 25 seats to 200-300 seats capacity, depending on the available qualified call center agents they can hire. He pointed out that out of the more than 300 interviewed applicants last month, only 48 passed the rigid interviews and exams given by the JFK Center. The successful applicants are now undergoing a 6-week intensive training being conducted by JFK Center.
