The Officers and Members of the Naga Chapter of the Knights of Rizal with their affiliaes, the KAPARIZ and the Kababaihang Rizalista, will commemorate the 145th Birth Anniversary of our National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal with significant rizalian activities on June 19 this year.

        On the 17th of June at the “ante-vespera” of Rizal’s birthday, these Rizalists shall plant several dozens of choice pili tress along Almeda Road at Balatas this city in cooperation with the City Government of Naga. Each member will not only plant the trees but will adopt and care each tree planted. The environmentally oriented Rizalists will then proceed after the tree planting to the Naga City Ecological Park at San Felipe, and together with the invited City officials and officers and members of the Isarog Garden Society hold a simple flag raising ceremony and floral offering in honor of the national hero at the foot of Rizal Monument at the Rizal Mini Lagoon at that Park. Special Guests shall give their messages on the occasion.

        On the eve of Rizal’s Birthday that is, on June 18. Sunday, the Rizalists shall hold an outreach activity be helping construct at least one unit of residential building at the GAWAD KALINGA project at nearby Barangay San Antonio, Milaor, Camarines Sur said activity a brainchild of the KAPARIZ youth chapter of the Ateneo de Naga University, an affiliate of the Naga City Knights of Rizal Chapter.
