The Pacific Hidden Paradise. The name Caramoan has been officially adapted since 1619, the year it was founded by a zealous Spanish missionary. The municipality of Caramoan is located at the tip of Caramoan Peninsula, a rugged place of land extending into the waters of the Maqueda Channel on the North and East and Lagonoy Gulf on the South. A five-hour trip from Naga City either by bus to Sabang, San Jose and by boat to Caramoan or directly by land through the Caramoan Peninsula Road will be amply rewarded by beautiful fine white beaches beside majestic limestone and marble mountains. Nearby are exotic islets with caves for escapades and adventure. (Photo and text sourced from the Caramoan website)
