“IF you share your blessings to others, chances are, these blessings keep on growing preponderantly “ says Sister Dolores Cornejo, Vice-President for Health Services of Mother Seton Hospital based in Naga City.
Sister Dolores was beaming with smile when she declared that the Ruby Anniversary Celebration of Universidad de Santa Isabel-Mother Seton Hospital (USI-MSH) was ‘very successful” and claimed that the success of the hospital can be attributed to ‘the strong faith in God”.
The medical staff of USI-MSH held successfully a medical mission inside the hospital during the anniversary day wherein many had come to avail of the free services which included among others free bone scanning, free cholesterol testing, free sugar testing and other chemical laboratory tests.
In the afternoon, Archbishop Leonardo Z. Legaspi, OP, DD celebrated a mass at the St. Louise de Marillac Chapel together with Bishop Jose Rojas which was attended by the management and staff of the hospital and guests.
Sister Dolores told the Bicol Mail she was very happy that former administrators of the hospital came on the day of the anniversary. Former administrators who were present include: Sister Elena Caballero, Sister Felicitas Escoto, Sister Normita Guevara, and Sister Paula Vargas.
Sister Haide Facto, provincial counselor for the Daughters of Charity and Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo and his wife also graced the occasion. Other guests were Sister Ramona Fuente, Sister Teresa Mabasa and other sisters from different houses in the Bicol region.
The program and awarding ceremonies were well participated in by the employees and doctors of the said hospital who rendered dance and song numbers to the delight of the audience.
Pioneer doctors of the Mother Seton Hospital also came to join in the celebration. The pioneer doctors were Lourdes Asense, Jose Bernas, Eduardo Enojado, Naida Guballa, Jose Rañola, Visitacion Santiago, Alejandro Santos, Lopes Cemaña, Sancho Tolentino.
Sister Dolores said “we are looking forward to continuously improve our services to help more who are in need of our service.” The public that benefited from the quality services that Mother Seton provided can expect “more improvements as we continue our mission of providing healthcare services to the population of Bicolandia” she said.
