BULAN, Sorsogon – Sorsogon Police Provincial Office police operatives netted two (2) more violators of the COMELEC Gun Ban being enforced nationwide in connection with the synchronized local and national elections in May 2007.
Elements of Bulan Municipal Police Station, Sorsogon Police Provincial Office arrested on April 21, 2007, security guard Jerry Enteria, 34 years old, for possession of unlicensed homemade sub nose cal. .38 revolver pistol loaded with ten live ammunitions at Zone 8, Bulan, Sorsogon.
Also in Brgy. Piot, Sorsogon City, an employee of Sorsogon Electric Cooperative II (SORECO 11) identified as Salvador Paje y Fundales, 38 years old, was arrested by elements of Sorsogon CPS led by PO3 George Guemo, for having in possession unlicensed cal. .38 revolver pistol with no documents to show the carrying of the said firearm and exemption from the COMELEC.
Arrested suspects were placed under the custody of police stations concerned, as charges for violation of Omnibus Election Code in relation to Section 2, para A of Amended Resolution nr 7764-A are being prepared against them for filing in court.
