500 Bicolano nurses are to fill up the urgent demand for nurses at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is the good news disclosed by Ms. Lucia Weniam Villanueva, head of the Camarines Sur Employment Center (CSEC). According to her this was among the agenda of the meeting she had with Dir. Ernesto Bihis, regional director of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) RO-5 last Thursday, July 26, 2007.

        The Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, a government client of the Government Placement Branch of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) has an urgent demand for nurses. POEA has tapped the assistance of its regional offices which in turn sought the support of the various Provincial Employment Service Offices (PESO) in the country to coordinate, disseminate and accept nursing applicants for the abovementioned manpower requirement in their respective areas of jurisdiction.

        CSEC, created thru Gov. LRay Villafuerte’s initiative primarily to provide assistance to Camarines Sur constituents in landing profitable jobs both here and abroad, readily accepted the task and is now accepting applications for said position.

        Ms. Villanueva said application forms are now available in their office and she even made assurance of rendering assistance to applicants with the purpose that more nurses from Camarines Sur avail of the slots allotted for the Bicol Region. Thus, their office is extending invitation to all female registered nurses in the province who are interested to work in Saudi Arabia to visit their office and avail of this rare opportunity to work in one of the hospitals in Saudi Arabia without need of putting up considerable amounts of money as placement fees.

        Interested parties must submit personally to CSEC a detailed resume’ with job description and photocopies of college diploma, Board Certificate, Rating, PRC ID, and 6 pcs 2x2 pictures. CRFernandez
