NCSHS stude bags AFS-YES study grant

A THIRD year student of the Naga City Science High School here has been chosen to study in the United States for a year by the American Field Service (AFS) under its Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program.

        Anne Clarice B. Fajardo joins 39 other grantees who bested applicants from all over the Philippines in a rigorous selection process. The group leaves for the US on August 5, this year.

        During a courtesy call on Naga City Mayor Jesse M. Robredo, Fajardo was given an additional pocket money to cover personal expenses. She will also serve as the city’s ambassador of goodwill to the people of Hobart, Indiana where she will study at the Riverfront High School while staying with a foster family.

        Anne Clarice is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Fajardo.
