IRIGA CITY –- Police authorities here have their hands full following a successful operations against illegal drug pushers at San Juan Village, this city last August 3.
Armed with search warrants issued by RTC Judge Rogelio Dacara of Branch 37, joint elements of PNP Iriga, PDEA and provincial police office swooped down two houses here which resulted to the arrest of Celedonio Moran, 42, and his 40 year old cousin Claudio Moran.
In an interview by local newsmen, P/Supt Tomasito Clet said the suspects along with four other suspected drug pushers had long been listed in their order of battle.
With the apprehension of Claudio and Celedonio, Clet claimed a total of 52 drug users and pushers nabbed and slapped with appropriate charges in court since he assumed his post three years ago.
Seized from Celodonio’s house were 18 pieces of 18 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and ammunitions for M14 and M16 rifle.
On the other hand, the raid at Claudio’s residence yielded 3 pcs of plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; 3 pcs. disposable lighters; several pieces and parts of improvised tooter (water pipe) and drugs paraphernalia.
During the same interview, Clet vowed to continue their no-nonsense drive against the proliferation of prohibited drugs.
