LEGAZPI CITY – The City Board of Canvassers proclaimed last May 21 reelectionist Mayor Noel E. Rosal and Dr. Ismael Buban of the opposition as the duly-elected mayor and vice mayor, respectively in Legazpi City, in the May 14, 2007 national and local elections.
Rosal garnered 41,103 votes while his closest rival former Councilor Michael Victor C. Imperial (NPC) received only 35,535 votes or a margin of 5,568 votes in favor of the incumbent.
Vice Mayor Buban received 36,490 votes.
Also proclaimed by Comelec lawyer Ma. Juana Valeza, chairman of the City Board of Canvassers, were the 10-winning candidates for councilors.
Proclaimed newly-elected or reelected city councilors (from the topnotcher) were Oscar Robert Cristobal and Vittorio Roces of the opposition, Raul Rosal, Alfredo Garbin, Cerilo Chan, Alex Sy, Jaime Andes, Raphael Ruivivar, Oscar Santillan (opposition) and Carlos Ante.
