LEGAZPI CITY – Governor-elect Joey Salceda vowed to modernize Albay economy through strategic infrastructure, vigorous tourism, agricultural advancement, commercial development, and energy stabilization to boost industry, here.
Salceda said that after the Albayanos gave him a strong mandate he would start to strengthen Albay’s resources management to be supported by social expenditures in health, education, and livelihood.
“I am the governor of all Albayanos not just of the many who voted for me because like them I have only one enemy – poverty. There is much to be done for our children’s future so there is no time to waste for past animosities. Everyone must do his share for the glory of Albay,” he told the Bicol Mail.
Salceda’s platform of government anchored Albay Mabuhay, Albay May Buhay, to flagship projects, such as: Daraga International Airport, Southrail Project, Bicol River Basin Development Program, Bicol Regional Fishport, San Fernando Bypass Road, Albay Road Network leading to Donsol and the West Coast.
The governor also hopes to integrate the four islands of Cagraray, Batan, Rapu-Rapu, and San Miguel to the mainland Albay to optimize its development potential and resource base.
