AgricultureS secretary Arthur C. Yap administers the oath of office to Dr. Jose V. Dayao, recently promoted Director IV (Regional Executive Director) of the DA in Bicol by president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Dayao who is a full blooded Bicolano and a Career Executive Service Officer III has served as DA assistant regional director since 2002 and as officer –in-charge of the department effective June 15, 2007. His appointment was signed by the President last September 13, 2007 and took his oath on November 9, 2007 at the DA main office in Manila.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAY. Senate President Manny Villar hands over to Nisan Labay the plane ticket that will bring her home to South Cotabato after her repatriation from Jordan. Labay is among the rising number of OFWs who suffered maltreatment in the hands of their employers in Jordan. In the coming days, seven more underaged OFWs will be repatriated to the Philippines through the intercession of Villar.
