Caceres priest launches book
on mission and globalization

“THE book is daring and original.”

This is the first sentence of the commendation by Arij Roest Crollius, SJ, of the first book of Caceres Mission Director Fr. Andrew Gimenez Recepcion entitled, “God’s Global Household: A Theology of Mission in the Context of Globalization.”

The book is set to be launched on Saturday, October 6, at the Madrigal Amphitheatre in Ateneo de Naga University at four in the afternoon.

“God’s Global Household” took years to be completed as it was Recepcion’s dissertation at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome where he obtained the licentiate and doctorate degrees in Missiology.

While in Rome, he was under the mentorship of Fr. Crollius who is a Professor Emeritus in the said prestigious university.

Fr. Recepcion launches “God’s Global Household” with a lecture entitled “Mission as Counter-Cultures in the Global Villages, Case-in-Point: Philippine Mega Malls.” After the lecture, reviews of the book will be presented by Vox Bikol columnist and Naga City Planning Officer Willy Prilles and Fr. James Kroeger, MM, president of the Philippine Association of Catholic Missiologists and professor at the Loyola School of Theology in Ateneo de Manila University.

“God’s Global Household” is published by the Bikol-based publishing house, Agnus Press.
