LRay Villafuerte unveils the sports line-up for Kaogma Festival ’08 that brings back the Mt. Isarog 4 x 4 Rainforest Challenge, BMX exhibitions and National Skateboard Competition, Motocross Challenge, Asian Riders Cup for dragon boat, Buruntulan, Asian Wakepark Championship, and of course, the centerpiece sports which is wakeboarding and wakeskating at the famous CWC. MOA SIGNING. The Department of Agriculture in Bicol represented by Regional Executive Director Dr. Jose V. Dayao (seated, in checkered polo), and the Calabanga Liga ng Mga Barangay Multipurpose Cooperative, represented by its president, Levi Sta. Ana, Sr. (seated 4th from left) entered into an agreement where the latter will undertake its project on Cassava production, processing and marketing worth P4.2 million with funding assistance from the Spanish Agency for International Development (AECID) and technical assistance from the DA. The Local Government Unit represented by Mayor Evelyn S. Yu (center) will provide counterpart fund for the maintenance of the equipment to be provided by the Project. The MOA signing held very recently at the office of Mayor Yu was witnessed by the barangay captains who comprise the Liga/ Cooperative and officials of the DA regional office and the municipal agriculturist and staff. LRay Villafuerte, just like everyone else, walked the rice paddies and crossed a makeshift footbridge in order to attend the commencement exercises at Northern Canaman High School (Sta. Cruz High School Annex) located at Fundado, Canaman to the utter delight and pleasure of the graduating students along with the barangay officials, school administrators, and their grateful parents.
