With sadness we inform you of the passing away of + REV. MSGR. ALBERTO NERO, Spiritual Director/Formator of Holy Rosary Minor Seminary, at 7:15 in the morning of April 24, 2008, Memorial of Saint Fidelis, at the Mother Seton Hospital, Naga City. He was 71 years old.

        His remains lie in state at the Chapel of the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary. On Thursday, May 1, 2008, after the 4:00 p.m. Mass to be celebrated by the Seminary Priests and attended by the Minor Seminary Community, his remains will be transferred to the Good Shepherd Chapel of the Holy Rosary Major Seminary. The concelebrated funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m of the following day, May 2, 2008. Interment will follow at the Resurrection Garden of Holy Rosary Major Seminary, Naga City

        + Msgr. Nero was born to Doroteo A. Nero and Paulina N. Nasayao on November 16, 1936 in Batang, Pamplona, Camarines Sur. He took his Elementary Education at the Pamplona Central School and his Secondary and Tertiary Education and Theological Studies at the Holy Rosary Seminary, Naga City.

        He was ordained priest on December 17, 1960 at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral by the late Archbishop Teopisto V. Alberto, D.D.

        May the soul of + Msgr. Nero, through the prayers and holy Masses Your Reverences will offer with the faithful, rejoice forever in the vision of the Lord whom he has faithfully given himself for the service of the Church
