RDC commends Naga City
project monitoring council

The Naga City Project Monitoring Committee (NCPMC) was adjudged Outstanding Local PMC for the year 2007 by the Bicol Regional Development Council (BRDC), Regional Director Romeo C. Escandor of the National Economic and Development Authority and RPMC Chairman announced.

        NCPMC bested all other organized municipal, provincial, and city project monitoring committees in the region in the annual search for the outstanding local project monitoring committee, which is aimed at encouraging transparency and accountability in the implementation of projects in the respective local government units.

        Criteria for selection included efficiency, completeness of quarterly monitoring reports, number of field monitoring inspections conducted, actions on issues or problems met, responses generated from requesting government agencies, and number of trained members.

        The awarding ceremony was held during the meeting of BRDC on August 6, 2008 at the Regional Office of National Economic and Development Authority in Legazpi City.

        NCPMC is headed by City Councilor John G. Bongat (SP). Members include Barangay Chairs Gemma Joy Antonio (Dinaga) and Daniel Alambra (Triangulo), Nelia Sapalicio of the Naga City People’s Council, Johann de la Rosa (NGO-PO), Nicolas Beda Priela (NGO-PO), Dir. Fatima Penino (DILG), Nephtali Pabines (City Planning and Development Office), Angel Gonzales (CPDO), and Alex Fabiano (City Engineer’s Office).
