HELP WITH A DIFFERENCE. A total 77 families of Barangay Lourdes, Buhi were among the beneficiaries of a unique assistance package for Bicolano constituents affected by past calamities jointly sponsored US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Save the Children Program of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) that not only extends financial and material aids but also social development, livelihood promotion and community building. 71 families received permanent typhoon and earthquake resistant houses like the structure in the lower photos now occupied by the Abasola family. Three families received assistance to set up sari-sari stores, another was provided a Bigasan ng Bayan outlet, and two families were given work carabaos like the one received in top photo by Noel Benosa from Aaron Smith of the USAID.
