CamSur hair science training
produces 1,912 beneficiaries

Pili, Camarines Sur - - - The provincial government reports that a total of 390 beneficiaries from three municipalities - Del Gallego, Lupi and Sipocot - have completed the 15-day training under its Hair Science and Cosmetology Skills Training Program as of August 8 just this year.

       The livelihood program is an initiative of Governor LRay Villafuerte which aims to dramatically improve the quality of life of the people at the countryside.

       Since its launching last year, a total of 1,912 beneficiaries throughout the province have finished the course. Most of the beneficiaries are very happy to utilize what they learned, because it means additional income by just practicing the skills in their own neighborhoods for reasonable amount of pay while others used the certificates received from the training to gain employment in beauty establishments locally and even abroad.

       The 15-day training that the beneficiaries nsuallv undergo under the program includes haircutting for men and women, hairstyling, make-up application, manicure and pedicure, hair coloring and highlighting, facial massage and treatment, foot spa, hair waving and curling, hair relaxing, hair spa and hot oil massage.

       Not only is the training for free but the beneficiaries are provided training kits without cost to ensure continuity and in order they will have the materials and equipment to start with after completing the course. The training kit is composed of 1 piece barber’s cape, a nipper and a pair of scissor.
