DAET,Camarines Norte -- Despite the rampant jueteng and illegal fishing in the province, the Camp Wenceslao Q. Vinzons Sr headed by provincial director P/Sr. Supt. Noel Constantino once again grabbed the title, Best PNP Provincial Command in Bicol.

        During the l7th PNP anniversary held in the camp at Barangay Dogongan, here, on Monday, February 25, Constantino proudly displayed the plaque of distinction containing the citation to the public. The affair was attended by P/Sr. Supt. Roberto Timog Bondoc, officer-in-charge of the Bicol PNP Regional Command, Daet Mayor Tito S. Sarion, Gov. Jesus Typoco, and ranking officials of the Philippine Army.

        Even in the presence of the PNP regional head whose campaign against the illegal numbers game is bannered with the one-strike policy, betting on jueteng remained rampant during the PNP Day.

        Print and broadcast mediamen were no show on the occasion so the scheduled press conference with government functionaries did not materialize.
