LEGAZPI CITY -– The Ambassadors of Culture and Arts Troupe of the Universidad de Sta. Isabel took away the grand prize in the Pastores Festival held at Peñaranda Park in this city last December 17, 2007.

        This was announced by Regional Tourism Director Nini Ravanilla, whose Department of Tourism, along with the Legazpi City Government and the Albay Provincial Government and PBN-5 TV Network sponsored the colorful festival that articulates a distinctly Bicolano tradition during the holiday season.

        Sorsogon City’s contingent was awarded second prize while the Tubog Pastores of Oas, Albay went home with the third prize.

        The winners received P50,000, P30,000, and P20,000 cash prizes, respectively.

        All the contingents from different parts of Bicol received consolation prizes of P7,000 each.
