DAET, Camarines Norte -- Parents and teachers of the Daet Elementary School here are looking for a member of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology District Jail based in Barangay San Isidro, after abandoning a project which he should have completed when he was the president of the Homeroom PTA federation of the preschool.

        In 2006 Jail Officer 1 Arnel Flores, a resident of Barangay Calasgasan, was elected president of the said federation and in 2007 there was a fund raising that amounted to P80,000 for a “canopy” project.

        In March 2007, Flores was caught by members of the Camarines Norte Electric Cooperative illegally tapping electricity in the school using an unauthorized welding machine for said canopy.

        Flores was made to pay about P11,000 by the electric cooperative infraction and discontinued the school project.

        In December, 2007, the new PTA Federation President Nerissa Augosto sent a demand letter to Flores which up to this day remained unanswered.

        Parents and teachers are dismayed on the inaction of other school officials on the matter.
