Sorsogon prov’l mobile caravan rolls off Jan 29

SORSOGON CITY -- A program which seeks to bring services of the Sorsogon provincial government closer to the public will commence on Saturday, January 26, in this city with some 80 service providers participating.

        The Provincial Mobile Service Caravan (PMSC), a brainchild of Governor Sally A. Lee which she started implementing while then the Sorsogon City mayor, rolls with the veterinarians, agriculturists, assessors, senior citizens, and the offices of Public Employment Service, Engineering, Treasurers, Environment and Natural Resources, Legal, Health and the Social Welfare and Development on board.

        Major services that shall be offered during the whole day event are medical consultations, legal assistance and veterinary, among others.

        Ten patients due for operation identified by the host government unit shall be evaluated by the medical staff of the Provincial Health Office (PHO). Of the ten, four shall be operated on for free.

        On the other hand, the staff of the Provincial Veterinarian’s Office shall conduct vaccination simultaneously with artificial insemination services for carabao and cattle.

        The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist shall hold a food processing training for some 50 housewives.

        Over 250 clients are expected to be served by the mobile service program.

        The PMSC is intended to facilitate the delivery of basic services and orient constituents on the programs of the provincial government.

        The program being implemented with the cooperation of the various municipalities and the city government of Sorsogon, shall be in operation throughout Gov.
