DAET, Camarines Norte -- As large crowd from neighboring provinces had been expected to meet Fr. Fernando Suarez known more as the Filipino Healing Priest after the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Barangay Gahonon, here, announced the visit of the priest to said place on February 4, 2008.

        According to Camarines Norte Bishop Gilbert Garcera, the healing Mass would be celebrated 2 p.m. and anticipated to extend for several hours at the Cathedral.

        Barangay Kagawads Job Sayson and Rodel Ablaza claimed that they would be making the largest preparation ever to assure the smooth flow of traffic and peace and order for the arrival of Suarez.

        Fr. Fernando Suarez, CC, was born in the province of Batangas in 1967. After spending much of his life living and working in the Philippines, with a Chemical Engineering degree, he went to Winnipeg, Canada in 1995. In Canada, he continued to pursue his desire to follow the Lord as a Roman Catholic Priest, something he strongly felt God was calling him to become.

        In 1997 he joined the Companions of the Cross religious community of Priest and seminarians, founded by Rev. Robert Bedard in 1985 in Ottawa, Canada, and Suarez was ordained to the priesthood in 2002.
