AS Bicolanos celebrate the Tricentennial of the Devotion to Our Lady of Penafrancia, the pilgrim image of Ina will start visiting various dioceses and parishes in the entire Bicol region from January 30, this year, until its grand celebration in 2010.

        The first diocese to welcome Ina is the Diocese of Masbate, at the Parish of San Paschal Baylon, San Pascual, Masbate.

        A joint pastoral letter of the Bicol Bishops announces, “Her visitation to her children never ends, it continues throughout the life and history of the Church. Hence, we the bishops of Bicol agreed that on the occasion of the Tricentenary of the Devotion to Ina, her image will be brought to the different dioceses of Bikol and the parishes under them.”

        After the opening of the Tricentennial last September 2007, which brought so many blessings to the devotees, the entire Bicol region has prepared for the regional visitation of Ina who is our mother who continues to reach out to her children in this contemporary period.

        The main objective of the regional visit is to foster a renewal of faith and to re-kindle our filial love and devotion to Ina.

        During the visit of the pilgrim image, all the devotees may receive plenary indulgence.

        To receive it, the recipient must satisfy certain conditions. After recourse to the Holy Sacraments of confession and communion, one needs to pray for the intentions of the Holy Father including the intentions of the Local Ordinary /their own bishops, by reciting one Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be and Credo.

        Below is the general schedule of the regional visit of Ina.

        Diocese of Masbate: January 30 - April 30, 2008; Diocese of Sorsogon: April 30- July 31, 2008; Diocese of Legazpi: July 31- January 3, 2009; Diocese of Virac: January 3- March 31, 2009; Diocese of Daet: March 31- June 30, 2009; Prelature of Libmanan: June 30 - November 3, 2009; Archdiocese of Caceres: November 3 - May 2010.

        The grand celebration of the Tricentennial of the Devotion to Ina will be on September 2010, during the month of the Penafrancia fiesta. CCCom
