CSI BATCH ’84 1ST US GET TOGETHER. Members of Colegio de Sta. Isabel (now Universidad de Sta. Isabel) High School Batch’84 who are living in the United States gathered in Las Vegas, Nevada for their first ever get together last July 10-13. Consultative Meeting on CARP Extension. Top executives and legal chiefs of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Bicol headed by Atty. Ma.Celestina Manlagnit-Tam convened June 27 in a closed-door consultative meeting at Café Federico, Crown Hotel in Naga City to further discuss and craft some reform amendments on Land Acquisition and Distribution (LAD) component of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) that will be presented to the House of Representatives when its 2nd regular session resume on July 21. According to Atty.Tam, despite the majority of the House members are in favor of CARP extension, they insist on instituting reforms and cure the flaws in the implementation of CARP prior to the enactment of a definitive extension.
