Rape and Torture of CARP lands. The gruesome condition of this agricultural land in Barangay Cararayan in Naga City is not caused by flash floods or by any natural calamities, but a result of vicious and unrelenting quarrying operation in said area The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Regional Office V has already issued a Cease and Desist Order (CDO) to halt said illegal activity and then filed disqualification cases against six erring agrarian reform beneficiaries for misuse of their CARP-acquired lands. The involved farmers, namely: Miguel Arole.Jr, Roman Sanorjo.Jr, Rosario Frias, Mateo Cooper, Aladin Cooper, and Glorito Villaraba will be stripped off of their rights over their awarded lands and perpetually disqualified from becoming CARP beneficiaries.

DRAGON ROWERS. Caught during one of their hectic practice sessions, the CamSur Dragon Boat Mixed Team composed of local male and female rowers mentored and nurtured by Gov. LRay Villafuerte, is busy testing the breadth and depth of the waters of the newly-built Boat Lake Park located adjacent to the famous CWC that will debut during the upcoming WWA Wake Park World Championships on July 1-6, 2008. For their part, the veteran rowing team is also getting ready for the 2008 PDBF Annual Championship (1st Leg) on June 29 at the Manila Bay as well for the 8th CCWC IDBF Championship in Penang, Malaysia on August 1-5, 2008.







CALM BEFORE THE STORM. LRay Villafuerte, as President of the Philippine Waterski and Wakeboard Federation, hosts the 2008 WWA Wake Park World Championships at the CamSur Watesports Complex (CWC). BUILDING
ROAD CONNECTIONS.

The construction and improvement of the 9.52-kilometer farm-to-market road that lead through Tuos-Sabang-Malinao-lnugikan-lwang Junctions opened up previously inaccessible vast expanse of land in Bgys. F. Simeon and Upper Omon in Ragay, Camarines Sur. The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) thru its World Bank assisted-Second Agrarian Reform Communities Development Project (WB-ARCDP2) has allocated more than P11.3 million, part of the budget which is about P1.93 million came from the local government unit of Ragay as counterpart fund for the completion of the project. The DAR-ARCDP2 project have also included measures o strengthen the capabilities of local government and farmer’s organizations in both maintenance of the roads to help ensure sustainability of project achievements.
