RELIEF OPERATIONS CONTINUE. Camarines Sur Gov. LRay Villafuerte, this time with assistance from 1st District Congressman &. Presidential Son Dato Arroyo, had once again directed the Special Events Group of the Provincial Social Welfare & Development Office (PSWDO) to distribute relief packs to constituents in Del Gallego, Ragay, Lupi, Sipocot, and Libmanan. Consisting of a 2-week supply of food consumption and other non-food items such as blankets, sleeping mats, and used clothing, the relief packs were allotted to those whose lives were severely disrupted with the incessant rains brought on by ‘La Niña’ that had caused flooding and landslides in isolated areas in the province. FAMILIAR TERRITORY: Senate President Manny Villar cannot help but be reminded of the time as a Divisoria shrimp vendor when he visited the Trading Post in La Trinidad, Benguet. Villar said he supported the construction of the trading post for purposes of price-monitoring and the removal of middlemen transactions, which cause prices of fruits and vegetables to shoot up.
