Shining Bicolano leaders

THE Bicol Region has been longing for someone from the Land of Handiong to lead our country. We have noted from socio-political history that there are potential Bicolano leaders who have the brilliant minds and abilities to bring back the glory of the “Pearl of the Orient Seas”. We had the late Sen. Raul Roco who should have had the chance but we lost him. We are recently taking notice that we have on hand promising young Bicolano leaders: Senators Chiz Escudero, Jamby Madrigal, Sonny Trillanes, and the pro-GMA Joker Arroyo and Gringo Honasan.

Now a ZTE_NBN star witness, Jun Lozada from Ligao, Albay. And we may add Cong. Luis Villafeurte (and his dynamic son, Gov. LRay). How I wish one of them become the next President of the Republic of the Philippines.

I know whistle-blower Jun Lozada is not among them. Not yet. But being truthful, transparent, God-fearing and humble will make him a good leader in the future. He wants to have a vision for the youth to be honest and always speak for the truth. The Archbishop of Caceres in Camarines Sur should give him a chance to share with us what Lozada knows about the broadband scandal and let ourselves find out whether he is telling the truth or is a liar.

I am proud that in these trying times, there are Bicolanos who stand up for truth and principle even at the risk of their own lives and those of their own family members.
