All roads lead to the Provincial Capitol Complex as the 3rd Philippine Cable Wakeboard Nationals kicks-off on March 27, 2008 at the world-class facilities of the Camarines Sur Watersports Complex (CWC), setting to operation all the preparations by the provincial government to ensure a smooth and hassle-free sports affair.
Gov. LRay Villafuerte, current president of the Philippine Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (PWWF), has directed the Camarines Sur Tourism Office to organize responsible committees to take charge of said preparations. Hosting said sports event for the 3rd straight year, the chief executive is keen in assuring its successful staging as not only nationally ranked wakeboarders will be seeing action and competing for fame and prize but international riders and wakeboard superstars as well. They will once again showcase their skills and prowess on the board that will surely draw fans and spectators and bring delight and excitement to them.
Slated as a 4-day sports event from March 27 to 30, the occasion is bundled as an all-day, family affair as visitors may also indulge in other recreation and leisure activities aside from watching the tricks and antics of the competitors. There will be food bazaars, trade fair, henna tattoo booth, chill out bar, and air brush booth for the duration of the occasion.
An ingenious way of further promoting the CWC as an alternative tourist destination that has already drawn the attention and the accolade of those who had the chance to appreciate its amenities, the holding of the wakeboarding nationals would not only further speak well of it as a veritable world-class facility but even further introduce an ideal activity for the whole family, more particularly the Camarines Sur constituents, where the family may spend quality time and find a hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.
