THE Junior Chamber International Philippines held the simultaneous conference last Sept. 5-7, 2008. The Area III which the is home area of Bicol Region held its Southern Luzon Area Conference at Casino Filipino, Tagaytay City. An overwhelming Awards Night pampered the JCI Naga Cariñosa as they bagged 7 awards on the recently concluded Area Conference.

        The JCI Naga Cariñosa jumped in 4th Place, in the Junior Chamber International Efficiency Awards (JCIPEA). Other awards brought home by this enthusiastic women organization are:

        1. Merit Award: Best Business Development Program –“Yule Give Lovin’ While Shoppin’” a Christmas Bazaar held at the Westpark last Nov. 27-Dec 2, 2007, headed by its Project Chairman, JCI Mem. Miel S. Bongon.

        2. Merit Award: Best Fund Raising Program- The JCI Naga Cariñosa’s Fund Raising Program which includes the Area Council Meeting, Christmas bazaar, JCI Slippers (Yapak ng Pag Aruga), The Jon Santos Live and in Persons Show and their Corporate Sponsorship Program.

        3. Major Award: Outstanding Local Organization President of the Year- JCI Mem. Leah Andrea S. Soriano.

        4. Major Award: Outstanding Project Chairman – JCI Mem. Miel S. Bongon

        5. Major Award: Outstanding New JCI Member – JCI Mem. Mary Sharon M. Lobrigo

        6. Special Award: Winner, Public Speaking Competition – JCI Mem. Mary Sharon M. Lobrigo

        7. JCIPEA RANKING (Top 4): JCI NAGA CARIÑOSA

        The transparency of these awards would not be possible without the support of the JCI Naga Cariñosa Members and its’ sponsors like Cong. In addition, the members, whose over the years of involvement in the organization has long been a training ground to share their knowledge and passion in community service. The JCI Naga Carinosa members and its leaders have made all the ways of instilling the values that JCI upholds. However, the achievement of these learning doesn’t start and end with training. The gauge and measure of achievements is through the efforts they make to radiate their knowledge and skills to others particularly to non-JCI members, and hope that these efforts will bring about POSITIVE CHANGE to the community.
