30 years as Bicolandia’s ultimate source and provider of quality products and services in the region’s Automotive Industry

        What started as a little dream for young couple Leandro A. Soriano and Lilian S. Soriano, LISAM –an ‘entity’ which over the years has become a household name & now Bicolandia’s number one provider of automotive products and services has reached its 30th year this January, 2009.

        Last January 10, 2009 the entire LISAM Family celebrated the company’s 30th year anniversary, at the LISAM Compound. Comprised in the event were fun games and presentations of each department, a flashback of the past year 2008 as well as the past 29 years of the company, snacks and dinner, awarding of Service and Special Recognitions and Raffle Promos.

        In her Opening Message, Chief Executive Officer Leah Andrea S. Soriano shared her thoughts on how she feels as the company reached what seems to be a big milestone not only for the owners and for the staff and personnel but also on the entire Bicol Business Industry. She expressed her gratitude to everyone who has been a part of LISAM for the past years, claiming that the company wouldn’t have made it without the needed support --- from suppliers who served as ‘business partners’, the staff and employees who were more like ‘family’, and to the customers who has given their trust, reliance & support to the company. Ms. Soriano added that these customers has become the focus and in more than many ways the ‘soul’ of LISAM. More forward-looking, she also gave a challenge to the present employees, asking for the same loyalty, more determination, and love of one’s job. She said that only with these will LISAM make another 30 years.

        In another Inspirational Message delivered by Chairperson and President Lilian Soriano, she shared of how the company evolved thru those 30 years of mixed experiences, good and bad, and how the company managed to survive those struggles. Now as the whole country faces yet another financial struggle brought about by the dreaded and anticipated Global Crisis, her personal battlecry is allied with LISAM’s battlecry: Geared for Tomorrow. She stressed the importance of “sticking together” in these trying times, of being like soldiers in facing the looming combats. Like the young CEO, she believes that LISAM will continuously push through.

        Indeed, the simple dream which was matched with utmost perseverance and hardwork has paid off through the years. Now, LISAM serves as the mother company for many different ventures that has marked their own individual identities in the Automotive Market: Nissan Naga (Bicol’s sole authorized dealer of Nissan units); Suzuki Auto Naga (Bicol’s sole authorized dealer of Suzuki units); Lisam Goodyear Servitek (Lisam’s successful tie up with Goodyear Philippines); Kia Naga (new venture agreement with Bicol Autocare Corp., offering Kia units) and the Lisam Parts and Service Department offering repair, maintenance and detailing needs of vehicles of any brand.

        The past 30 years has been the utmost example that little dreams will go a long way, if the people behind that dream work on it. The past 30 years of combined hardships and achievements, rises and falls, milestones and disappointments all became a part of what LISAM is now.

        LISAM’s 30th year does not mark only as another achievement. The LISAM FAMILY takes it as another beginning, a gift and opportunity to be of service; to bring back to the worthy community it serves the trust and belief that LISAM has received all those years.

        As another year for the company unfolds, the LISAM family will continuously commit to what it has been, what it has become, what it envisions itself in the coming decades. LISAM will continuously commit to the primary reason why the company was established: to shield & protect every Bicolano motorist in the drive of his life.

        Thirty years after, LISAM is more equipped, more determined, more confident, even more geared for tomorrow.
