SWIM, BIKE AND RUN. Grit, speed and endurance will be in great demand as over 300 triathletes from all over the world compete in the Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines on August 23 in Camarines Sur that will combine 1.2 miles of swimming, 13.1 miles of running and 56 miles of bike racing brought for the first time in the country through the partnership of Gov. LRay Villafuerte, Alaska Milk and Asia Brewey.

IN PURSUIT OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) under the stewardship of a new officer in charge, Dr. Gerry Villafuerte (in striped shirt), led his various health personnel as well as representatives from other offices of the provincial government to an early morning fun walk from the Freedom Stadium to the Capitol grounds where after a brief respite, enjoined everyone to a vigorous “hataw” routine (a low impact aerobic exercise) to usher in the 35th Nutrition Month Celebrations with the theme: “Wastong Nutrisyon Kailangan, Lifestyle Diseases Iwasan”. CamSur Gov. LRay Villafuerte had already approved a line-up of activities that will promote varied advocacies in support of nutrition efforts as well as healthy living practices that will culminate in a BNS Congress on August 5, 2009 at the CamSur Convention Center.
