Starting July this year, personnel of the National Statistics Office (NSO) in Naga City will be extending their services at the Provincial Capitol particularly concerning their birth certificates, every 1st and 3rd Monday and Tuesday of the month.
Consequently, NSO will be joining the personnel of the Consulate from Legazpi City as the latter conduct processing of passports at the Provincial Capitol.
Joining of forces of the two national government agencies resulted from the coordinative efforts of the Camarines Sur Employment Center (CSEC) in order to immediately address the common problem encountered by individuals bound for deployment abroad but are unnecessarily caused delay by flaws in their birth certificates, these being an indispensable requirement in securing a passport.
Thus, it is expected that the long line of people, waiting under the searing heat of the sun as they are in dire need to authenticate their birth records, will be cut short as the same services will be available at the Capitol building in a more cozy and relaxed condition.
Mobile Passport Servicing is an initiative of Gov. LRay Villafuerte in order to provide assistance to constituents of the province in search of needed employment either locally or abroad. With NSO joining the undertaking, it would further expedite the processing of the requisite passport for the deployment of those for employment abroad; even bring similar convenience to others in securing their birth certificates.
NSO will be rendering their services from 9am to 4pm on Mondays and from 9am to 12nn on Tuesdays, crfernandez/mmec
