ARCDP2 PROJECT TURN-OVER. Congressman Dato Arroyo (1st District, Cam.Sur)) on January 14 led the blessing and turn-over of 2.91 kilometer farm-to-market road in Bgy. Batang in Pamplona town. The new road traverses vast expanse of farmlands in Batang and leads through Bgy.Tambo which is expected to bring economic growth and development in this part of the municipality. The project is financed by the World Bank, Department of Agrarian Reform, and Local Government Unit of Pamplona. The same projects were also constructed in Bgy.Veneracion, Pamplona (1.860 kms) and Bgy.F.Simeon, Ragay (10 kms.). After the turn-over rites, Congressman Arroyo lauded Pamplona Mayor Gemino Imperial and Batang barangay officials for supporting the DAR’s Second Agrarian Reform Communities Project (ARCDP2).

LRay Villafuerte introduced the concept of Bed and Breakfast in Gawad Kalinga Villages of the province of CamSur to provide visitors, foreigners and balikbayans alike, a place to stay and feel the simple life of Bicolanos who are by nature hospitable and amiable as shown in photo above. Gawad Kalinga Founder Tony Meloto (top photo, 2nd from right) and Gov. Villafuerte have forged a solid partnership to eradicate poverty through community self-help, livelihood, housing projects and community tourism.
